Testing Friday 10:00 am- 3:00pm. Two qualifiers Friday evening
Two Qualifiers Saturday (approx 2:00pm and 5:00pm and first round elimination's Saturday evening Approx 8:30-9:00pm.
2nd round Sunday noon through completion

BODY:
Steel, aluminum, fiberglass and carbon fiber bodies and body parts are allowed as long as the car retains it's original
appearance and profile. Wheel well openings can be modified for tire clearance. Rear wings are allowed, but may not
extend more than 28 inches from the transition point with the body to the tip. The drivers and passenger doors must
be fully operational and must open from the outside. MRP reserves the right to add weight penalties for any
body modification that does not fit within the current rules.

CHASSIS / SUSPENSION:
Any chassis and suspension combination that passes NHRA safety standards is allowed.

DRIVE TRAIN:
Any rear-end, gear ratio and transmission are allowed. Automatic transmissions may use a
trans-brake air or electric shifters.

IGNITION:
Entries may utilize only 1 Distributor or 1 Mag.

DISPLACEMENT LIMITS:
See Weight Breaks.

ENGINE MOUNT LOCATION:
The maximum allowable engine setback is no more than 10% of the wheelbase as measured from centerline of front
spindle to center of furthest forward spark plug hole.

HEADS:
Any cylinder head is allowed as long as only 1 spark plug per cylinder is functional.

EXHAUST:
Mufflers are not required.

FUEL / FUEL SYSTEMS:
Gasoline & Alcohol only (No Nitro). MRP reserves the right to check fuel at any time during competition.

Failure to pass fuel check is grounds for disallowance of the run during competition and
disqualification from the event during eliminations.


NITROUS OXIDE:

All nitrous systems are allowed. Nitrous oxide commercially available,
thermostatically controlled blanket-type warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottle's
prohibited. The use of any agents other than nitrous oxide as part of, or mixed with, this
pressurized fuel system is prohibited. Nitrous oxide may not be used in conjunction with
supercharger or turbochargers. If entry is teched in at a non-nitrous weight break, all nitrous
oxide lines, fittings, solenoids, and bottles must be removed before car is allowed to pass tech.

Water injection is allowed

SUPERCHARGER / TURBOCHARGER:
Single centrifugal supercharger, single or twin turbochargers allowed (max twin turbo size is 94. mm ea.) Two-
stage superchargers or turbos are not allowed (twin turbos must share a common plenum). Intercoolers are allowed.
Screw & Roots-type limited to single supercharger per engine.
Roots-type size up to and including 18-71

Supercharger restraint systems required on Screw & Roots-type units. (125% Over-Drive Limit on Screw Super
Charged Entries)

Turbochargers up to 94mm

TIRES:
Front tires must have a minimum tread width of 4.5 inches. Front tires do not have to be DOT
approved. Rear tires have no limitations. The tread of the tires must not protrude outside the body
line at the top of the tire.

Class Description
Outlaw 10.5 is a heads-up class for all types of vehicles. Cars may utilize full tube chassis or back half chassis. There are no restrictions on front or rear suspensions other than NHRA requirements. Legal combinations include the use of nitrous oxide, supercharger, turbocharger and normal aspiration at different weight breaks for parity. All entries compete on a specially designed M/T, Hoosier or Goodyear 33x10.5W or 31x10.5W slick.

BODY:

Steel, aluminum, fiberglass and carbon fiber body parts are allowed as long as the car retains it's original appearance and profile. Full Fiberglass or Composite bodies are allowed but must be to exact specs of an OEM body of the same year, make & model. Doorwarz reserves the right to add weight penalties for body modification deemed not within the body rule. Wheel well openings can be modified for tire clearance. The drivers and passenger doors must be fully operational and must open from the outside. Fake or airbrushed grills are allowed as long as it looks original...

 

BRACKET RACING AIDS:
The use of bracket racing aids such as optical sensors, delay boxes, stutter boxes, and throttle stops are not allowed.

CHASSIS / SUSPENSION:
Any chassis and suspension combination that passes NHRA safety standards is allowed.

FIREWALL:
Moving stock firewall rearward for engine installation permitted. Each car in competition must be equipped with a minimum of .024-inch steel or .032-inch aluminum firewall, extending from side to side of the body and from the top of the engine compartments upper seal (hood, cowl, or deck) to the bottom of the floor and / or belly pan.

IGNITION:
Entries may utilize only 1 Distributor or Mag.

OIL-RETENTION DEVICE:
All Outlaw 10.5 cars must utilize an NHRA-accepted lower engine oil-retention device; may use a belly pan in lieu of a device attached to the engine. The belly pan must extend from framerail to framerail and extend forward of the harmonic balancer and rearward of the flywheel and must incorporate a minimum 2- inch-high lip on all sides. A nonflammable, oil-absorbent liner mandatory inside of retention device.

ON BOARD DIAGNOSTICS / DATA RECORDERS:
On board diagnostic computers and recorders are permitted. Memory and playback tachometers are allowed.

INDUCTION

NITROUS OXIDE:
All nitrous systems are allowed. Nitrous oxide commercially available, thermostatically controlled blanket-type warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottle(s) prohibited. The use of any agents other than nitrous oxide as part of, or mixed with, this pressurized fuel system is prohibited. Nitrous oxide may not be used in conjunction with supercharger(s) or turbocharger(s). If entry is teched in at a non-nitrous weight break, all nitrous oxide lines, fittings, solenoids, and bottles must be removed before car is allowed to pass tech.

SUPERCHARGER / TURBOCHARGER:
Single - Twin Turbo - Supercharger allowed (See weight Adds)
Turbo: Single no limit (see weight section) Twins 94mm max ea. (see weight section) Turbo is measured on the inlet compressor wheel diameter (tip-to-tip) at the point where the leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the inlet housing and also inside diameter of the inlet (No Stepped Wheels).
Centrifugal Superchargers: are limited to any single or twin F2's max. Intercoolers are allowed.
Roots: limited to a single 14-71; PSI SUPERCHARGERS C or D rotor. Supercharger restraint systems required. Nitrous oxide not allowed in combination with supercharger or turbocharger.

TIRES:
Front tires must have a minimum tread width of 4.5 inches. Front tires do not have to be DOT approved. Rear tire size Mickey Thompson's, Goodyear or Hoosier 29, 31 or 33 x 10.5w Slicks. Maximum 105'' roll out.

bigger, reduced "grill" face surface, full 45" over hang, chopped roof line, layed back
windshield).

Open Comp

 

Prize money is based on 32 entrys

Full bodied cars with two operating doors only.


OPEN COMP class was designed for all vehicles and trucks that run slower than 8.50 seconds in the ¼ mile.


Open Comp CLASS GUIDELINES

BODY:
Cars with doors only. Dragsters, Alterds, Roadsters & Motorcycles are not permitted

Format:
The Open Comp class will run on an Open Comp format with a 1/10th breakout. What this means is you get 2-4 rounds of qualifying. Take up to 1/10th off your quickest time and that is your automatic dial-in for eliminations .
Lane choice by your previous run reaction time.
This time will be yours throughout eliminations (it cannot be changed).
The best reaction time is the #1 qualifier.
You will then be put on a Sportsman ladder for eliminations.
NO DELAY BOXES allowed if in car must be unhooked and maybe inspected any time during race.
There are basically no rules in this class, so come out and have some fun!
